Hearing Aid Services

We offer a wide range of hearing aid services to help you rediscover the sounds of life.

Hearing aids are devices designed to assist people with hearing loss by amplifying sounds and improving their ability to hear and communicate effectively. There are several different types of hearing aids available, each with its own set of features, benefits, and suitability for different types of hearing loss and lifestyle preferences.

Here's an explanation of some common hearing aid types:

Behind-the-Ear (BTE) Hearing Aids:

  • BTE hearing aids are worn behind or over the top of the ear.

  • They consist of a small plastic case that houses the electronics, connected to a custom earmold or a thin tube that delivers sound into the ear canal.

  • BTE hearing aids are suitable for a wide range of hearing losses and are often recommended for children and adults.

Receiver-in-Canal (RIC) or Receiver-in-the-Ear (RITE) Hearing Aids:

  • RIC/RITE hearing aids are similar to BTE models but with a separate receiver (speaker) inside the ear canal.

  • They are known for their comfortable and discreet design, with a small behind-the-ear component connected to the receiver in the ear canal.

In-the-Ear (ITE) Hearing Aids:

  • ITE hearing aids are custom-made to fit directly into the wearer's ear.

  • They come in various sizes, including full-shell (larger) and half-shell (smaller) options.

  • ITE hearing aids are often more visible but offer easy operation and handling.

In-the-Canal (ITC) Hearing Aids:

  • ITC hearing aids are custom-made to fit directly into the wearer's ear canal, making them less visible compared to other styles like ITE and BTE.

  • They come in various sizes, including full-shell (larger) and half-shell (smaller) options, providing a degree of customization for comfort.

  • ITC hearing aids are designed for mild to moderate hearing loss and offer a balance between visibility and functionality. They are typically more discreet than BTE or RIC/RITE models while still offering the convenience of a custom fit.

Invisible-in-the-Canal (IIC) Hearing Aids:

  • IIC hearing aids are extremely discreet, as they fit deep inside the ear canal and are virtually invisible.

  • They are custom-made to each individual's ear shape and are suitable for mild to moderate hearing loss.

The choice of hearing aid type depends on factors such as the degree of hearing loss, lifestyle, cosmetic preferences, and any specific features or technologies a person may require. It's important to consult with our audiologist or hearing healthcare professional to determine the most suitable hearing aid for an individual's needs.
